I'm a vegetarian New Englander who hates the fact she just turned thirty. I love reading and writing fiction and collecting books, particularly ones about vampires and Viking and Medieval History. I have a cat, Rinki Dink, and a day job I enjoy, though I'd rather be writing! Where did you get the idea for The Darkness Therein? I've always loved paranormal romances and vampires, but I was a little tired of reading about vampires who never walked by day, never ate food, and were afraid of religious objects. I always saw them more as another type of animal instead of creatures of pure magic. I also wanted to explore the idea of a more androgynous hero than the he-men usually found in romance novels. Not that I dislike reading and writing about he-men, but I wanted to try a different kind of hero. In The Darkness Therein I tried to create a romance novel with the kind of vampire hero most interesting to me at the time. What made you decide to write a paranormal romance? |
