Who is our protector and light of the world?

St. Michael with his shield and sword is the protector of the human race since his great battle with Lucifer, driving him into hell. Unfortunately he doesn't stay there and if you don't think the dark forces don't exist, well, I guess you don't get out of the house much!

The "divil" as the Irish say, taunts and tempts, hides and slithers so cleverly that you will think he is a prince from heaven. But, if you listen to your instincts, and the heaviness in your gut, you see a light shrouded in darkness and a smell without odor, yes, my friends tread carefully in these waters. The Saints spent their lives muddling through these murky depths, rescuing those they could, counting on a Source beyond themselves to aid in their fight for God's kingdom. And when confronted with evil whom do they turn to? St. Michael, valiant fighter, friend of the afflicted and foe of the dark.

The children of the light will always have the assistance of St. Michael and his armies of angels in overcoming the children of darkness, those seduced by the false power of Satan. According to the doctrine of the Catholic Church St. Michael will one day cast the fallen Lucifer into hell forever. Until that time Christians are taught that leading lives of sacrifice, prayer and good works strengthens and protects them against this relentless adversary.

There are many stories of angels rescuing people from speeding cars, pushing others out of the way of tumbling piles of rocks or leading those trapped in burning buildings safely from the fire. Angel popularity may wan according to present day culture, but if you need assistance the angels will never fail if your intention is to want the best for everyone. More important than wonderful and fantastic stories of angel rescues is the spiritual meaning of their existence because they really are in a layperson's terms "messengers of grace."

If you want to learn how to practice the presence of God, study the hierarchies of angels and the graces with which each is endowed. St. Michael is said to belong to the third hierarchy and as helper of humanity, is the leader in the fight against evil. He is entrusted with the more important missions of the human race and is guardian of great church leaders such as the Holy Father, and other Rulers of States devoting themselves to the glory of God's work on earth.

I was so amazed at your St. Michael story, you seem to know his biography so well.
