For young adults, the writing needs to be as good, if not better, as for an adult mystery. This is the most difficult group to write for. The main character needs to be in their late teens or early twenties. These readers are very discriminating in their taste for mysteries and quality must be the watchword.

Don't be afraid to try your hand at writing a mystery. Study the markets and read, read, read.
