A List of 100 Things to do before I Die: Part 3

© Heather Ringrose

Here is the third and final part of a list of one-hundred things that I want to do before I die. I've already checked off quite a few? What happens if I complete them all before I am really old? While, I'll just have to make a new list!

67. Take on jobs that I love and that help me grow, regardless of the salary.

68. Look into a Hawaiian volcano.

69. Enjoy the respect and reverence that hard-working doctors are given by their patients.

70. Avoid the need to go on welfare.

71. Establish lifelong friendships.

72. Live on a farm surrounded by trees and have a pet dog.

73. Be involved in community life- a service club or a children’s club leader.

74. Have dinner parties for my neighbours, friends, and family.

75. Keep a smile on my face.

76. Stay in excellent physical shape all my life.

77. Enjoy solitude and never feel lonely when I have time alone.

78. Read an entire encyclopedia. . . or two.

79. Reverse the trend of increasing obesity in Canada.

80. Write a poem while sitting on the surreal rocky peninsula at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia.

81. Enter a Terry Fox Day Run in memory of my three grandparents who died of cancer.

82. Ensure that I never say “I have to go to work.”

83. Give everything I have to my patients.

84. Find a man with whom I can spend the rest of my life- after my education is complete.

85. Give birth to my own child.

86. Retire with the feeling that I have made a difference in the lives of many others.

87. Be in the front row seats when my family members graduate or marry.

88. Record the stories of my childhood and pass them on to my descendants.

89. Create a scholarship for students because of the huge costs of university these days.

90. Learn to cook delicious and gourment food like my mother and grandmother.

91. Visit the adults who were part of my childhood.

92. Participate in an international exchange.

93. Ride the train across Canada- from the maritimes through the rocky mountains and back to Ontario.

94. Graduate university without accumulating a lifelong debt.

95. Fall asleep to the sound of waves on the ocean.

96. Learn new information every day.

97. Try various specialty world cuisines.

98. Experience bad times with the knowledge that they will make good times seem better.

99. Watch the sunset with those who are close to me.

100. Live for the day.

I encourage all readers to make their own list. I find mine to be motivational. It gives me a sense of purpose and accomplishment every time I cross one off the list!
