© Linda Suzane

Back in May I visited with Rosemary Laurey and we talked about her vampire novel, Walk in Moonlight. Since then Walk in Moonlight has won two PRISM awards, a first in the Dark Parnormal category, then Best of the Best. It was a finalist in the PEARL in the Shapeshifter category and was nominated for Gatemaster's Favorite at Sime -Gen. The cover also won the SPECTRUM so kudos to Trace Edward Zaber, who has also designed the cover for Rapture in Moonlight.

Walk in Moonlight is now available in Trade Paperback as well as an ebook. http://www.avidpress.com/laurey.htm

Book Review

Rapture in Moonlight

Rosemary Laurey has done it again. Rapture in Moonlight, the sequel to Walk in Moonlight, is a thoroughly delightful read. In Walk in Moonlight, Dixie LePaige, a spunky, modern all American woman, meets and of course falls in love with Kit Marlowe, an Englishman, who was once a contemporary of William Shakespeare. To save her from death, he transforms her into a vampire. Rapture in Moonlight finds the two of them living in German Town, Ohio and running a bookstore and gift shop called the Vampire Emporium.

While visiting them, their friend and fellow vampire, Justin Corvus, is smitten by attractive Stella Schwartz. Though he knows it is unwise to become involved with a mortal, especially one with an eight-year-old son, he can't help himself as he finds himself wanting to help and protect the struggling single mom and her engaging son. But Stella has her pride and is unwilling to accept his charity, which makes her all the more attractive and Justin finds himself falling madly in love with her.

Things change when a couple of neighborhood thugs shoot Justin and Stella. When Stella dies from the wound, Justin brings her back as a vampire.
