Where will the best shopping deals be for ebook readers on Black Friday? Find out where to get a handheld ereader for $90 to $120 during Thanksgiving sales.

On November 12 and 13, confirmation about Black Friday ereader sales finally started to emerge when the Best Buy Black Friday flyer showed a Barnes and Noble Nook as a doorbuster. For people who are looking for a portable ebook reader, Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2010 could be the right time to try some new technology at a discount.

Best Buy Black Friday Ereaders: Nook, Literati, and Pandigital

Best Buy will sell the Barnes and Noble Nook for $99 on Friday morning, according to scans of the Best Buy Black Friday ad. The Nook on sale is the wi-fi version, so the price is $50 off. While that looks to be the best ereader deal at Best Buy, it is not the only ebook reader that will be on sale when the doors open at 5 AM on November 27, 2010.

The Literati Digital Reader from Sharper Image will be sold for $119, which is a $30 discount. The Literati Digital Reader has a wi-fi connection and comes with pre-loaded classic books from the public domain, as well as a dictionary. The 7 inch screen is full color, and accepts mini-SD cards.

The Pandigital Novel Digital Book will be marked down $40 to $139, which is an impressive amount for a color ereader with a touch screen. The Pandgital ereader also uses an SD slot, so the memory is expandable. The Novel Digital Book uses EPUB and PDF files, so Google Books are easy to read on the device.

Sears Black Friday Ereader: Libre

The Libre eBook Reader Pro will be marked down $30 at Sears on Black Friday. It will sell for $89. The Aluratek Libre comes pre-loaded with books, and it can handle EPUB, PDF, and MOBI files. The Libre accepts an SD card and has a good reputation. The screen is 5 inches, making it slightly smaller than the usual ereader screen. At $90, it would be a good choice for a student ereader for parents who do not want their kids to have an ereader with internet access.

Sears will also have an SD card for $7 during the Black Friday sale, so if you buy a Libre, it makes sense to throw in an extra SD card. The Libre transfers books directly from the computer, so an SD card would make transferring files easier.

Some other stores are showing ereaders, but these are the lowest prices so far. Hasting's will have the Sharper Image Literati for $129, and Radio Shack will have the Pandigital Novel for $149. Everyone is waiting to learn what Amazon will do with the Kindle, so watch the Amazon Black Friday Deals page for updates about possible sales for the most popular ereader.
