Justin Bieber has hit the historic city of London, playing his first concert at the city's O2 Arena Monday night and the BB1 once said he played to 18,000 fans. After the show a mob of fans were waiting back at his hotel and asked him for autographs and Bieber waded into the middle of them - and obliged.
Further, today, Tues. March 15, 2011, he attended the unveiling of his wax figure at the famous Madame Tussauds. And to complete a triumvirate of Bieber U.K. 'My World' concert news items, there was a report that two fans,16 and 18 year-old girls, posed as chambermaids and managed to get into his room, but that report wasn't confirmed.
Bieber at O2 Arena with David Craig
In addition to a three song warm-up from Willow Smith, Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun had popular U.K. singer Craig David appear and sing onstage with him. 'Digital Spy' reports that Bieber is on record as saying that the song they performed together, Seven Days, is Bieber's favorite Craig David tune. The two posed for photos after the concert.
The 17-year-old singer has two more shows in London at the 02 Arena before moving on to Manchester and other U.K. dates. The tour moves to continental Europe and eventually to Australia.
Wax Figures All Over Tussauds
The wax figure was unveiled at Tussauds London and a story on the Tussauds London website says that they were also unveiled today at Tussauds in Amsterdam and in New York. Young Master Bieber liked the likeness of himself. “It’s pretty incredible to see. I’m taller but this was a point in time,” Tussauds quoted Beiber as saying. “It looks awesome, thanks very much.” A small group of excited fans were able to attend and the figure is now available for fans to come and see.
Bieber in London: Visitors to Hotel Room
Meanwhile the Mirror in the U.K. reports that two girls managed to sneak into Beiber's hotel room posing at chamber maids while he was staying at the Hard Day's Night Hotel in Liverpool. They say that the girls went in a side entrance and stole chamber maid uniforms and found their way to his room.
The singer was not there, the Mirror claims, but the two,16 and 18 years-old, used their cell phones to take photos of Bieber's belongings. Their giggling gave them away to staff, the Mirror said, and they were made to leave.
However, msnbc.com reported that the hotel said they had not heard of such an incident and that the police did not receive a report of any trespass on Bieber's hotel in Liverpool.
