Sunday, August 22, 2010 was Big Brother 12 episode 20, and it was the aftermath of Britney having won the Head of Household on the last episode. Matt had been on the block, and the house was going to vote him out, but he saved himself with the Diamond Power of Veto. He put up Kathy in his place, who then got evicted unanimously by the house. It shook things up as they headed to the HOH competition, which Britney won pretty easily.

The Brigade alliance seemed to be having problems, as Matt felt that the other three guys had turned on him (they had), and it was a tough process to save himself and act like everything was fine. It looked like Matt might try to figure something else out, and that might involve turning on other Brigade members. Then there was Brendon, who was sure that Britney was going to stick with her deal to not put him up, after swearing upon his fiancé last episode that he would be safe.
As soon as they were alone, Britney and Ragan started laughing and cheering again Britney having won the latest HOH competition. From those interactions, it sure appeared that Britney was going back on her word, and that she was going to turn on Brendon. Maybe this is something that Brendon should have seen coming, because Britney hasn’t been trustworthy through this entire season.
Later in the episode, Brendon approached Britney, and Britney was already hedging about sticking to her word.
Big Brother 12 Have and Have Not Competition
The house was split into two teams of three to compete in this week’s Have and Have Not competition. It was an odd drinking competition, involving odd combinations of ingredients. One team of three would drink their drinks, one with the odd combination, and two that tasted good. The other team then had to guess which person had the gross shot.
The teams were Ragan, Matt, and Lane against Brendon, Enzo, and Hayden. They each had their own fake-out strategies, with both teams confident that they were going to win this competition. Ragan went through the challenge crying, but it was what he has been doing in the house for weeks, so it fooled people.
The winners were Ragan, Matt, and Lane, making Brendon, Enzo, and Hayden the Have Nots for this week.
Big Brother 12 August 22 Nomination Ceremony
Britney ended up doing exactly what was expected, and nominated Brendon and Enzo for eviction. They will have the chance to play for their own safety at the Power of Veto competition that will be shown on Wednesday’s episode.
