Boise State football is 2-0, and presently one of the top few teams in the nation. The Broncos of the WAC will be playing the #24 Oregon State Beavers (1-1) of the Pac-10 at 8:00 PM, ET on Saturday. Boise State Football Schedule So Far
In week 1, The Boise State Broncos beat the Virginia Tech Hokies in Landover, Maryland, by a score of 33-30 in a remarkably exciting game. Kellen Moore passed for 215 yards and three touchdowns in the game, connecting with Austin Pettis twice, early in the game, and on the last score of the game. BSU's top two rushers combined for 163 yards, and D.J. Harper ran it into the end zone for a Broncos touchdown. Although BSU came out strong, Tech made the game close, and even went ahead, but Kellen Moore was able to put together a fantastic game winning drive to get the win for the team from Idaho.
The Broncos had the week off on September 11. Last week, Boise State football beat the Wyoming Cowboys by a score of 51-6 on the road. Moore passed for 370 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception against Wyoming. Martin and Harper, the top two rushers for the Broncos, ran the ball for 164 yards and each scored a TD. The BSU defensive line also shut down the opponent's run game: Wyoming's top two rushers combined for 17 yards.
Oregon State Football Schedule So Far
The Beavers are 1-1 so far this season. In the first week, the then #6 TCU Horned Frogs beat OSU, winning 30-21. Oregon State's QB Katz was less than superb in the game, played in Cowboys Stadium: he threw 9/25 for 159 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Jacquizz Rodgers also scored a rushing touchdown to give the Beavers their 21 points.
The Beavers were also off in week 2. Last week, they beat Louisville, winning 35-28 at home. Katz passed for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game, and 'Quizz Rodgers picked up 132 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.
Oregon State at Boise State Football
Boise State will host the Beavers on Saturday. Each team is ranked, and both squads have a lot to prove: OSU wants to show why it is ranked and why it is a top team from the Pac-10, and Boise State, of the WAC, wants to show that it is a national contender.
