For those looking for some fun in the sun, Carnival Cruise Line can deliver the goods. Carnival has short cruises of three to seven days heading to the Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean and Western Caribbean out of ports up and down the Atlantic coast and Florida. Cold cream soups such as the Strawberry and Mango draw rave reviews, as does the more exotic escargot. And of course the desserts, including the Melting Chocolate Cake and Grand Marnier Soufflé continue to be popular.

Carnival has made sure there is plenty of shopping in such ports as Cozumel, Mexico, by developing shopping malls. For shorter cruises, the Bahamas offer a perfect blend of beach and sightseeing.
