Save time and money this holiday season by shopping online during the Cyber Monday 2010 sales extravaganza. Find the best deals and holiday sales online.

With high unemployment and a depressed economy, many people are finding ways to cut back on unnecessary expenses. Family get-togethers, holiday meals, expensive travel expenses, Christmas decorations and gifts can add even more financial burdens and undue stress to overwhelmed families. With the additional expenses of the holiday season, saving money is even more important in a sluggish economy.

While millions of shoppers look forward to finding the very best bargains and holiday steals-and-deals of the season the day after Thanksgiving on Black Friday, consumers can also find bottom-dollar bargains from the comfort of home.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is an annual sales extravaganza that takes place on the Monday after Black Friday. Hundreds of retailers take part in the yearly event. Sponsored by the National Retail Federation’s Shop.Org, Cyber Monday first began in 2005 and is now one of the busiest shopping days of the year for online retailers. Online merchants will offer deep discounts and promotions on all sorts of products. This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 29, 2010.

Cyber Monday – The Benefits of Shopping Online

Instead of standing in long lines, fighting the crowds and searching for a parking spot in inclement weather, why not do all your holiday shopping online during the annual Cyber Monday event? Whether you are searching for a great deal on a family television set, a new Wii, digital camera, laptop computer, clothing for the kids or sparkling gemstones and jewelry, you can find it all online with the simple click of a mouse button.

And shipping and handling fees don’t have to cost an arm-and-a-leg either. Many retailers including Walmart, Amazon and Best Buy, are offering free shipping on thousands of holiday products. Items can be shipped to your home or picked up at the local retailer at no cost.

While visiting individual online retailer websites such as JC Penny's, Target, Best Buy and Walmart is one way to check out the latest and greatest Cyber Monday sale ads, visiting individual retailers can be a time-consuming process. But numerous websites provide a simpler way to check out all those holiday bargains by listing hundreds of online merchants all in one easy-to-navigate location. By visiting the Cyber Monday websites listed below, you will save money on holiday gifts and save time as well.

Cyber Monday is now my official shopping day. I no longer stand in long lines to get in the stores and at checkout. I also take advantage of sales and coupons. One other thing I am going to use this year is cash back. I found http://www.cashreporter.com, where I can compare cash back sites and there cash back offerings. This will definitely sweeten my holiday shopping with extra savings.
