Cyber Monday is the online version of Black Friday. Stores offer online discounts to shoppers for a limited time. On November 29, 2010 and shoppers can save on audiobooks, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and Zune HD mp3 players. Savvy bargain hunters can even pick up a few gorgeous iPhone and iPad covers from Hard Candy Cases. Here is an overview of the great shopping deals available for Cyber Monday, 2010.
Cyber Monday: Audiobooks from Audible.com
The Cyber Monday audiobook sale at Audible.com has already started, and people can download audiobooks at sale prices. There are over 100 books in the Treat Yourself sale, and they are all under $5. There are some classic books, like the 47 hour long Count of Monte Cristo by Andrew Dumas. You can listen to Ken Kesey narrate One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest, and get books by Pat Conroy, Alice Walker, Kurt Vonnegut, Alex Haley, Lance Armstrong, and Dean Koontz.
All of the audiobooks are 4.95, and since they are digital downloads, you do not need to worry about Audible.com selling out of books. The sale lasts until 11 pm EST on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. To learn more about downloading books from Audible, read a comparision of Audible.com and iTunes.
Cyber Monday: eBook Readers
Best Buy has three good ereaders for sale on Cyber Monday. The sale has already started, and shoppers can buy the Sharper Image Literati Digital Reader for $99 and the Velocity Micro Cruz Digital Reader for $160. Both of those are LCD readers, so they do not use e-ink like the Nook or Kindle, but they are both wi-fi ereaders.
Best Buy also has the Sony Reader PRS-300 for $99. The pocket sizes ebook reader is a great little ereader for anyone, but it seems like a good choice for kids because it does not have direct connections to a store. Cyber Monday: Mp3 Players
Walmart has extended Cyber Monday pricing until Friday, December 3, 2010. There may be limited quantities, but they have the Apple iPod Nano (6th generation) starting at $138, the Apple iPod Touch (4th generation) starting at $210, and the Microsoft Zune HD starting at $149. You can learn more about mp3 prices and devices by reading about Walmart's Cyber Week iPod and Zune sale.
All of those mp3 players can handle enhanced editions of Audible's audiobooks, so those 4.95 audiobook bargains will sound great on your new mp3 player. Not all mp3 players can handle the higher quality Audible book files, so before you buy an unknown brand, read about Audible ready mp3 players.
Hard Candy Cases
Through November 30, 2010, Hard Candy Cases is having a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale on iPhone and iPad cases. If you have someone on your Christmas shopping list with an iPad, Hard Candy cases are colorful and durable iPad accessories that make great gifts. Hard Candy is also offering cases for Mac Books and iPhone 4s. You can read more about the Hard Candy Case sale, including prices, by reading about the Hard Candy Black Friday sale.
Cyber Monday is more relaxed than Black Friday. There are no long lines, and although the deals go quickly, stores often match prices or have similar deals. Quantities are limited, as shoppers learned from the Amazon Black Friday Kindle sale that was over in seconds, but Amazon is good about having competitive sale prices and shopping surprises.
Remember to follow store Twitter feeds to find great deals; TJ Maxx confirmed their $399 Apple iPad by Twitter, and Amazon announced their $89 Kindle by Facebook and Twitter. Cyber Monday is a good time to find technology bargains, and Audible.com, Best Buy, and Walmart are having great deals on digital media.
