The Top 4 elimination episode revealed the final three dancers moving on to the finale on the seventh season of "So You Think You Can Dance" (SYTYCD).

The seventh season of "So You Think You Can Dance" continued on Thursday, August 5, 2010, with the Top 4 Elimination Episode. Previously, the judges chose which dancer would go home out of the bottom three. This week, the results of the audience's vote will determine which three dancers move on to the finale, and which dancer is going home.

Opening Group Number

The episode begins with a group number featuring All-Stars Ade, Mark, Neil, Dominic, Allison, Lauren, Courtney and Kathryn. The piece was choreographed by Dee Caspary and set to "Drumming Song" by Florence + the Machine.

Guest Performances: Janelle Monae, Desmond Richardson, Flo Rida

The first guest performance of the episode is Janelle Monae, who performs her new song "Tightrope".

Desmond Richardson, director and co-founder of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, perfoms a contemporary solo to "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones.

The final guest performance is Flo Rida, performing his song "Club Can't Handle Me" from the Step Up 3D soundtrack. Footage is also shown of the Top 4 competitors and some All-Stars attending the premiere of Step Up 3D in Los Angeles. The movie features some SYTYCD alumni, including All-Star Twitch, previous winner Joshua, and Tony Bellissimo.

Top 4 Solos

The Top 4 dancers also perform solos throughout the evening. Lauren Froderman dances to "Wasted Time" by Me'shell Ndegeocello. Kent Boyd performs his solo to "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz. AdeChike Torbert uses "Sir" by Various Artists, and Robert Roldan performs to "Mr. Muscle" by Rusko. The top 4 competitors are all contemporary dancers.

Top 4 Elimination Results

All four dancers are brought out on stage at first, and Cat announces which competitor will be the first to move on to the finale. That dancer is Lauren. Adam comments that Lauren very much deserves to be in the finale, and has become a different dancer through the course of the competition.

Later in the episode, Kent, AdeChike and Robert are brought out on stage. The second dancer to be moving on to the finale is Kent. Nigel says that, at this point, nothing is certain and no one is safe. He explains that the brilliance Kent showed in last night's contemporary piece displays the emotional growth that he has experienced in the competition.

Finally, Robert and AdeChike are brought out onto the stage. Cat announces that the final competitor moving on to next week's finale is Robert. This means that AdeChike is going home.

Next week, the final three dancers - Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman and Robert Roldan - will perform, and the judges will choose their favorite pieces from the season to revisit. Nigel teases that the Twitch and Alex hip hop piece will be one of the routines that is reprised, with a "legendary dancer" taking over for Alex, who is still recovering from his Achilles tendon surgery. Next Thursday, August 12, the winner of SYTYCD season 7 will be named.
