Ready for some tropical Disney magic? Disney Cruise Lines is offering three, four, and five night cruises to the Bahamas. Each cruise is all inclusive and includes lodging, meals, and entertainment. These short cruises are good for people who have never cruised before as it gives people a taste of cruising, without a long time committment. Each cruise departs and returns to Port Canaveral, Florida.

Disney's Bahamas Cruises Ports of Call

Disney Cruise Lines makes two stops on their Bahamas cruises. One is at Disney's own private island, Castaway Cay. The island is divided into sections with areas for families, kids, teens, and adults only. Guests can relax on the beach and enjoy the pristine water of the Bahamas or partake in fun, water activities. This excursion is included in the price of the cruise.

The other port of call is Nassau. Passengers are free to go ashore and explore on their own or take one of the many shore excursions, (at an added cost,) that Disney offers. Excursions include Blackbeard's Cay Stingray and Beach Adventure, (where guests can hand-feed stingrays,) the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter, and the Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkeling shore excursion.

Disney's Bahamas Cruises Itineraries

Departing in the late afternoon, guests are welcome to have lunch or enjoy a swim once they board the ship. On the three night cruise, there's a one day stop in Nassau and at Castaway Cay, before returning to shore. The four night option is the same, except added is a relaxing day at sea.

There are two itineraries available on the five-night cruise. Guests can either enjoy a second day at Castaway Cay or take a day to visit Key West, Florida. Both itineraries include a day at sea to enjoy all of the ship's activities.

Family Disney Cruise Activities

Party with Mickey, learn to line dance, participate in pirate trivia, or shoot some hoops on deck. Besides sparkling pools and entertaining meals, families on a Disney cruise can also view first run movies and take in live shows that rival those on Broadway, like The Golden Mickeys.

Disney Cruise Vacations Kids and Youth Clubs

Both parents and kids can take a break to do their own activities when kids check into one of the youth clubs onboard, each geared to a specified age group. For little ones aged three months to three years, Disney Cruises provides daycare, although unlike groups for older kids, there is an hourly fee. Young ones can play with a variety of toys and games, watch movies, and listen to story time all under the watch of trained counselors.

Kids from three to seven years of age can dress up as their favorite Disney character, explore a crow's nest, play computer games, or participate in a variety of activities in Disney's Oceaneer Club. Children eight to twelve can take part in science experiments, play video games, or watch movies at Disney's Oceaneer Lab. Teens can hang out in their own lounge or play games at the video arcade.

Adult Activities on a Disney Cruise

Although adults won't find a casino onboard, there are plenty of other activities available to enjoy. Behind the scenes tours are available along with wine tasting, aromatherapy, and adults only lounges. Those eighteen and older can also participate in an art auction, shop or spend quiet time at the adults only pool.

Disney Cruises Dining

Guests will never go hungry on a Disney cruise as food is available twenty four hours a day. For a quick meal, pizza and hamburgers are available in the pool area. Buffets are offered for breakfast and lunch while dinner is served in one of three fine dining restaurants.

Passengers will get a chance to eat dinner at each of the restaurants during the course of the cruise. For a nominal fee, adults can enjoy fine Italian dining at Palo, the adults only restaurant onboard. Room service is also available.

Disney Land and Sea Cruise Packages

For passengers who would like to add some extra Disney magic to their cruise, land and sea packages are available. Either before or after the cruise, guests can add on a few days at Disney World to visit the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the Animal Kingdom.

Between exotic ports of call, activities for people of all ages, and a variety of dining options, guests aboard a Disney Bahamas cruise should have no problem keeping busy. If looking to book a cruise, be sure to check different sail dates as prices can vary depending on when the cruise sets sail.
