Drinking aloe vera juice provides numerous health benefits. This is why aloe vera, also known as lily of the desert, has gained a reputation as a powerful healing food.

Known for its ability to heal burns, minor cuts, dry skin, and acne, aloe vera has been a popular topical healing remedy since the time of the ancient Egyptians. Drinking aloe vera juice is beneficial as well. Pure, organic aloe vera juice offers a wealth of beneficial phytochemicals that work to heal, soothe, and protect.

Benefits of the Lily of the Desert — Aloe Vera Juice and Health

Drinking aloe vera juice has an overall balancing impact on the body. It alkalizes stomach acids, normalizes fat metabolism, and improves new cell growth while inhibiting the spread of cancer cells and viruses. At least 75 healing compounds have been discovered in this healing food, including plant steroids, amino acids, essential fatty acids, nutrients, enzymes, and antibiotic phytochemicals. It is because of these different medicinal components, either working alone or in synergy with one another, that drinking aloe vera juice is known to help treat myriad ailments from skin cancer and varicose veins, to arthritis and acid reflux.

Some of the most significant healing agents of pure aloe vera juice are the mucopolysaccharides. Mucopolysaccharides are long chains of sugar molecules already present in the body, primarily in mucous and the fluid that surrounds joints. These compounds supply the body with organic silicon, enhancing the well-being of cell and artery walls, mucous membranes, and connective tissue. They are also believed to be somewhat responsible for the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-blood clotting properties of pure aloe vera juice.

How Drinking Aloe Vera Juice Improves Immune Health

Drinking aloe juice is a foundational part of optimal health because this healing lily of the desert improves the strength of the immune system. Pure aloe vera juice have antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-viral properties, helping the body eliminate toxins and harmful microbes naturally. Not only is aloe vera a cleansing food, but it also increases lymphatic circulation, thereby stimulating the production of antibodies so the body can defend itself from an infection. In this way, aloe vera juice is ideal for people who suffer from chronic disorders which are almost impossible to heal without a powerful immune system, such as eczema, allergies, and arthritis.

How Drinking Aloe Vera Juice Improves Digestive Health

Aloe vera juice is perhaps most well-known as a remedy for digestive problems. It alleviates irritations, acidity, and inflammations of the digestive tract. The soothing effect of drinking aloe vera juice is great for heartburn, constipation, hemorrhoids, stomach and colon ulcers. For ulcers, this healing plant also encourages faster healing.

Who Should Drink Pure Aloe Vera Juice

The lily of the desert — aloe vera, seems to be the perfect healing food. Drinking pure aloe vera juice, however, is not for everyone. As the herb can stimulate contractions, pregnant women should consult a doctor before drinking aloe vera juice regularly. Nursing mothers should also consider avoiding aloe vera. The lily of the desert is safe for adults, although few people enjoy the taste and texture of pure aloe vera juice. Try this healing food mixed with fresh fruit juice or blended in a fruit smoothie. Aloe vera juice goes well with strong citrus flavors.

It is believed that drinking aloe vera juice can offer a range of benefits, from healing ulcers to treating AIDS patients. With the growing popularity of the lily of the desert, there are many different aloe vera juice products to buy. For the medicinal properties of this healing food, always buy at least 98 percent pure organic aloe vera juice.

Great article. I started using it several months after Quintuple by-pass heart surgery. I used it years ago and after my heart surgery nothing seemed to make me feel at ease. I went back to my old alternative ways and within two days I felt totaly pain free and it seemed to free up any internal scar tissue and I once again had free range of motion with my arms and back. I used alternative treatment along with martial arts for over thirty years prior to my surgery which came as a complete surprise to me. I have never experienced a headache in my adult life, and still haven't. Dr's don't understand any of this. That's why I never used traditional Dr's as an adult. I found out recently that it was genetic.

very informative article. I've been recently diagnosed with acid reflux, along with an inflamed esophagus and inflamed trachea. I've been using steam remedies and such to treat the trachea, and it seems to be helping, but the acid reflux and inflamed esophagus just don't seem to be going away with antacids and ibuprofens. After reading this article, I plan to add aloe vera juice daily into the normal curing routine my doctor gave me (steam, tea w/ honey, ice cream, antacids, ibuprofen, water) to see if it can help me heal faster. What I do want to know is if it helps with chest pains, because my chest is hurting due to aforementioned inflamation.
