Having pets spayed or neutered can be a daunting expense for those who are struggling financially. As a result, many people who want to do the right thing for their pets are unable to access veterinary services.
Recognizing this problem, animal advocates and progressive veterinarians have collaborated to establish free and low-cost spay-neuter programs. These services can be located through the organizations listed below.
Spay USA (United States)
This North Shore Animal League America program acts as a referral service for affordable spay-neuter clinics. The organization offers a state-by-state listing of low-cost clinics that includes more than 1,000 service providers nationwide.
Spay USA also provides information and support for those seeking to establish low-cost spay-neuter programs in their own areas. Veterinarians are invited to join the Spay USA network.
