Answer Key

Providing an answer key is a good option for learning a new topic. Give students a crossword puzzle with clues and they must choose a word from the answer key to solve the puzzle. This puzzle design will introduce some foreign words and concepts. In addition, answer keys can be used to introduce weekly spelling words.

At the end of the week, use a crossword as the weekly spelling test. Students must solve the puzzle by inputting their weekly spelling list.

Create a crossword puzzle as a quiz or test. Instead of the traditional matching, students must solve the puzzle. Clues have no letter count but it does become difficult to read as they do not provide a space between each clue.

Create your own educational puzzles with a free crossword generator maker software. Crossword puzzles are a fun and engaging activity for all students. As well, students can make crossword puzzles to reinforce their learning and they can be solved by classmates.
