Hudson, 31, is 14 weeks pregnant. She is known for her roles in romantic comedies like You, Me and Dupree, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Bride Wars. Matthew Bellamy is the front-man for the popular U.K. band, Muse. Kate and Matthew have been dating for nine months.
A Source Confirms
A source confirmed the Hudson baby bump news to US magazine saying, "It was not planned, but they are excited and embracing it." The source also revealed that Hudson is happy that her seven year old son Ryder will have someone to play with. "She is happy for Ryder to finally have a brother or sister," said the source to US. Ryder is the son of Hudson's ex-husband Chris Robinson.
Gossip Surrounding the Pregnancy
Despite the news of Hudson's pregnancy being hot off the press, rumors and gossip are already surrounding the story. Many speculate that Kate's pregnancy is only an attempt to one-up her ex-beau, Owen Wilson, star of one of the latest box office hits, Little Fockers.
The same magazine that wrote of Kate's pregnancy reported just two days ago that a rep for the actor said, "Owen Wilson and Jade Duell are happy to be expecting a baby...due any day." This will be Wilson's first baby, but the 42 year old is very excited about the arrival of the baby. The source adds that he, "has been been doing research and learning as much as he can. He's super into it and asks a lot of questions to make sure he knows what's going on every step of the way."
Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson had an on and off relationship that spanned several years. The two first got together back in 2006 after they starred in You, Me and Dupree together. They broke up in 2007 and then were rumored to be back together early in 2009. It is clear that both have moved on in the relationship department, but could the rumors be true? Is Kate's pregnancy really a spiteful attempt to steal Wilson's baby thunder? I guess we will never know for sure!
