The Lisa Irwin investigation is taking twist and turns everyday and now a top lawyer working with the family is speaking out about her suspicions with the family. It turns out that the lawyer believes that the parents are hiding something and that investigators may have been right in turning their attention to the parents, according to a report published on November 8th.
It has been over a month since Lisa Irwin disappeared from her home in Kansas and the case has very few leads. However, now the top lawyer from New York who is helping the family in this case is starting to question the parents’ involvement in Lisa’s disappearance. Lawyer Vikki Ziegler finds the behavior odd, especially since the parents are not being cooperative with police; “if the parents of the missing 10-month-old baby were not involved in her disappearance, then they should be helping the police with the investigation, rather than refusing interviews with them,” the IB times reports.
Ziegler believes that the parents are indeed hiding something from investigators. They have only given as many interviews as required and are apparently not following up on any leads. Vikki hints that they are not being as engaged in finding Lisa. Ziegler is convinced the couple is hiding something; could that ‘something’ have anything to do with the smell of a dead body the sniffer dog picked up in the backyard during the early stages of the investigation?
Although Ziegler admits that drinking and blacking out is not a crime, the parents did have responsibility for the well-being of Lisa Irwin. Ziegler explains that because Deborah Bradley did not protect Lisa that night, but only herself during the investigation, “you want to kind of point the figure at her and say ‘something’s not right’.”
At present time, the Lisa Irwin case is very much a ‘he said/ she said.’ The parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, claim that they have nothing to hide and don’t know what happened to Lisa Irwin. They are sending police hints of where to look. But Ziegler explains that the parents may be sending the police away from the crime scene. During an interview in the early stages of the investigation, Bradley explained that she was scared of being arrested because the investigation would stop with her. But Ziegler explains that she fears that Bradley was indeed hiding something from police and was scared to be busted.
