2010 Little League World Series scores from August 26 have flushed out the LLWS brackets, and leave just five games on the LLWS schedule. The 2010 Little League World Series started back on Friday, August 20, and will come to an end on Sunday, August 29.
LLWS Scores From August 26, 2010
The LLWS scores from Thursday included Texas beating Washington 7-5 and Hawaii beating Georgia 7-4. By beating Washington, Texas wins Pool B in the United States bracket, and advances to the United States Championship Game on Saturday. With Hawaii beating Georgia, they force another game on Friday, where the two teams will face off one last time to decide Pool A.
Washington had beaten Texas on Wednesday night to force an additional game, and it looked like they were going to win again on Thursday before Texas came back late. The Texas offense was just too good in the end, and now Pearland, Texas is two wins away from winning the entire tournament.
LLWS Schedule For August 27
There is only one game scheduled for August 27 at the 2010 Little League World Series, and it will be the deciding game between Hawaii and Georgia. That game will be played on Friday at 11 a.m. PST, with the winner becoming the Pool A champion. The winner of this game will move on to face Texas in the 2010 United States Championship Game on Saturday.
LLWS International Bracket Results
In the International side of the 2010 Little League World Series, the pools were decided rather quickly. Japan won Pool C with a 3-0 record, eliminating Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Europe (Germany). Chinese Taipei won Pool D with a 3-0 record of their own, eliminating Saudi Arabia, Panama, and British Columbia, Canada along the way. Now the two teams will face off in the 2010 International Championship Game.
The Japan vs. Chinese Taipei game will be played at 10 a.m. PST on Saturday, August 28. That game will also be broadcast live on ESPN, with the United States Championship Game set to follow. That should provide for an exciting day of baseball on ABC.
