Mad Men won the Outstanding Drama series at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards on September 18, 2011. The Primetime Emmy Awards were presented at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles and televised live on Fox TV. Winning series in the top drama categories included Mad Men, Friday Night Lights, Justified, The Good Wife, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones.
Mad Men
Mad Men, the stylish AMC drama about a 1960s advertising agency, took the Outstanding Drama Series for the fourth year in a row. Producer Matthew Weiner accepted the award on behalf of the cast and crew. The cast of Mad Men includes Jon Hamm as dashing ad executive Don Draper, January Jones, Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss, John Slattery and Vincent Karthheiser.

The HBO Prohibition Era drama Boardwalk Empire was honored with the Outstanding Director Emmy for Martin Scorsese. The Good Wife is an intense legal drama that stars Julianna Margulies as the wife of a politician (Chris Noth) who starts over, as a lawyer, after he goes to prison. Game of Thrones
