Several American theme parks are offering discounts, free tickets, and special offers to the men and women who have served and are serving the country in the military. Find the details about two large promotions, including Anheuser-Busch’s “Here’s to the Heroes” program and Walt Disney’s “Let the Memories Begin” offer.
Military Get Free Admission to Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks
Anheuser-Busch’s “Here’s to the Heroes” program offers a free single-day complimentary admission to members of the U.S. military and up to three of his or her direct dependents. The program runs throughout 2010 and includes the following theme parks during regular operating schedules ( a few of their parks are only open seasonally – check for operating hours and schedules before planning a trip):
- SeaWorld (Orlando, San Diego, San Antonio)
- Busch Gardens (Tampa Bay, Williamsburg)
- Sesame Place
- Adventure Island
- Water Country USA.
Military personnel that qualify for the Here’s to the Heroes program include those that are:
- Active duty
- Activated or drilling reservist
- National Guardsman.
Online registration is available or at a participating park entrance. A Department of Defence photo ID is required. Dependents over the age of 10 must present a valid dependent identification.
This offer is not valid at:
- Discovery Cove
- Aquatica
- Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg.

Military Special Admission Prices at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort
Disney Parks’ “Let the Memories Begin” promotion offers special discount tickets now through September 28, 2011 to Walt Disney World in Florida or Walt Disneyland in California and is offered to active and retired U.S. military and includes the U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard, and those in the Reserves.
Walt Disney World 4-day military discounted ticket prices:
- $138 each plus tax with Park Hopper option
- $138 each plus tax with Water Parks Fun and more option
- $165 each plus tax with Park Hopper and Water Parks Fun and more options.
Disneyland Resort 3-day military discounted ticket prices:
- $99 each for Park Hopper.
A total of six tickets may be purchased at the special price at participating military sales outlets. One of the tickets must be for the person in the military, and they must be purchased at the same time. The tickets may be purchased by the person in the military or his or her spouse, but not both. A valid military ID is required to activate the tickets. These discounted tickets may not be used after October 1, 2011.
Some blockout dates apply, and the promotion cannot be combined with some packages such as the Free Dining package.
