The New Year is bringing with it some must-see movies!!

Thriller Flicks

  • Season of the Witch - This Nicolas Cage movie is set in the 14th century and deals with witchcraft, monks, knights, and a woman who is believed to have paranormal abilities that are linked to the Black Plague. (Planned Release Date - January 7, 2011)
  • Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - Sinister creatures live under the stairs of the home a young girl is sent to live in. This flick stars Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce. (Planned Release Date - January 21, 2011)
  • The Factory - John Cusack plays a cop hunting down a serial killer in New York after his daughter goes missing. Professional conduct is not a consideration during the manhunt. (Planned Release Date - January 28, 2011)
  • The Mechanic - Donald Sutherland and Jason Statham star in this thriller about a hit man who is teaching his craft to an apprentice. The hit man is unaware that his student has ties to one of his previous victims. (Planned Release Date - January 28, 2011)
  • The Rite - This supernatural thriller stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as a priest who shows a leery seminary student the darker side of faith. Can the holiest places on Earth be touched by evil? (Planned Release Date - January 28, 2011)

Drama Movies

  • Somewhere - This Sophia Coppola movie stars Stephen Dorff, Benicio Del Toro, and Michelle Monaghan. It portrays the story of an actor whose life is chronicled in the tabloids until his 11-year-old daughter comes into the picture and he starts questioning his life.   • Biutiful - Javier Bardem (of No Country for Old Men fame) plays a man on the road to redemption who struggles with reality and the afterlife. (Planned Release Date - January 14, 2011)
  • Blue Valentine - Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams star as a couple who are at a crossroads in their relationship. Williams plays a woman who has grown abundantly as a person since meeting Gosling, a man who remains the same as the day they met. (Planned Release Date - January 14, 2011)
  • The Dilemma - What would you do if you saw your best friend's wife making out with someone who wasn't your best friend? This movie starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James answers that question. (Planned Release Date - January 14, 2011)
  • Restless - This movie is based on the stage play Of Winter and Water Birds by Jason Lew. It tells the story of two people from different backgrounds and life stories who come together and forge a bond. (Planned Release Date - January 28, 2011)

Action Flicks

  • The Green Hornet - Seth Rogan stars as the masked superhero in this flick. Rogan is a full-time party boy until his media mogul father mysteriously dies, prodding Rogan to become a vigilante, the Green Hornet. (Planned Release Date - January 14, 2011)

Comedy Movies

  • No Strings Attached - Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher play a couple who want to be monogamous but are struggling in their quest. (Planned Release Date - January 21, 2011)

Family Films

  • The Illusionist - This flick tells the story of a struggling magician who encounters a little girl that believes he is truly magical, not the relic everyone else sees. The man does everything he can to keep the girl believing he is mysterious. (Planned Release Date - January 21, 2011)
