February is the perfect month to see a movie as the winter doldrums have set in. Head to the theatre to see some new movies as there are great films coming!

There are some must-see movies coming out this February!

Thriller Flicks

  • Oliver Sherman - Oliver is a veteran with no family ties and feels lost in the world. He sets out to find Franklin, a soldier who saved him in the war. Franklin is living a quiet, small-town life with his wife and children when Oliver finagles his way into their lives. Oliver's unstable, violent true-self becomes quickly apparent. (Planned Release Date - February 4, 2011)
  • The Roommate - This thriller tells the story of a psychotic college freshman who becomes obsessed with her new roommate. (Planned Release Date - February 4, 2011)
  • Sanctum - A cave diving expedition goes bad when the escape path is cut off by a flash flood. As their supplies dwindle and fear sets in, they manoeuvre the underwater labyrinth in a quest for survival. (Planned Release Date - February 4, 2011)
  • Small Town Murder Songs - A reformed, aging police officer in a small Mennonite town has to deal with a murder investigation that hits close to home. (Planned Release Date - February 18, 2011)
  • Unknown - Liam Neeson wakes up after a car accident to discover that someone has stolen his identity. (Planned Release Date - February 18, 2011)
  • Drive Angry 3D - Nicolas Cage plays a father seeking revenge after the murder of his daughter. (Planned Release Date - February 25, 2011)

Action Flicks

  • I Am Number Four - This Michael Bay production follows John Smith, a man who is on the run from his enemies. They have already killed three others; who will be number four? (Planned Release Date - February 18, 2011)

Comedy Movies

  • From Prada to Nada - Hailed as a modern-day version of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, this comedy tells the story of two bratty university student sisters. They live with their wealthy father in a luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills where they are able to ignore their Mexican roots. When their dad dies, leaving them penniless, the two girls are forced to live with their aunt in a Latino neighbourhood in East L.A. The snobby sisters eventually learn what family really means.   • Just Go With It - Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler team up in this comedy about a plastic surgeon (Sandler) who enlists the aid of his assistant (Aniston) to help him cover up a lie with the young woman he is dating. (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)
  • Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son - This Martin Lawrence flick follows in the footsteps of his other Big Momma movies. In this one, Lawrence and his son go undercover at an all-girls school after the son witnesses a murder. (Planned Release Date - February 18, 2011)
  • Whirligig - To win the love of a married woman, a man befriends her 12-year-old son. (Planned Release Date - February 18, 2011)
  • Hall Pass - This Farrelly brothers movie stars Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis as men who are feeling restless in their marriages. Their wives grant them one week of freedom to do as they wish, no questions asked, but is the life of a single man everything they remember? (Planned Release Date - February 25, 2011)

Drama Films

  • Frankie & Alice - Those of you that have been waiting for Halle Berry to make another movie need to wait no longer! She stars in this dramatic film about a woman suffering from multiple personality disorder who constantly struggles not to give into her racist alter-personality. (Planned Release Date - February 4, 2011)
  • Funkytown - This gloomy movie set in Montreal in the disco seventies follows several lives that intertwine, twist, turn and ultimately burn in a made-up universe whose atomic rise is overshadowed only by its spectacular fall. (Planned Release Date - February 4, 2011)
  • The Time That Remains - Set for limited release, this film tells the story of a Palestinian family from the 1940s when the father becomes a resistance fighter until the present day. (Planned Release Date - February 4, 2011)
  • Biutiful - Javier Bardem (of No Country for Old Men fame) plays a man on the road to redemption who struggles with reality and the afterlife. (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)
  • The Eagle - This period flick takes place in 140 AD, 20 years after the bizarre disappearance of the Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland. A young centurion is determined to solve the mystery and repair the reputation of his father, the leader of the Ninth Legion. The centurion and his slave (whose loyalties come into question) set off on a quest to discover the truth. (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)
  • Modra - A limited release film, this tells the story of a 17-year-old girl who lives in Toronto and goes to spend a week with her extended family in Modra, Slovakia. (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)
  • Of Gods and Men - This movie shows the lives of eight monks who live in a Cistercian monastery in Algeria, living a peaceful existence. But outside the monastery, a group of Croatian workers are murdered and a militia group threatens the monk's spiritual existence. (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)

Family Films

  • Gnomeo & Juliet - This cutesy animated flick is the tale of two garden gnomes who are caught in a feud between with neighbours. Will the two gnomes find happiness in a world of lawnmowers and pink flamingos? (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)
  • Alamar - A half-Mayan, half-Italian boy with divorcing parents spends time with his father and grandfather before his mother takes him to Italy. (Planned Release Date - February 25, 2011)

Documentary Flicks

  • Justin Bieber: Never Say Never - This biopic tells the story of teen sensation Bieber's rise to super-stardom. (Planned Release Date - February 11, 2011)
