The New York Stock Exchange is one of the busiest exchanges around the world. However, trading around the globe doesn’t stop when the exchange floor is closed. Trading generally continues electronically and with other Exchanges. NYSE closes its floor on most US Federal holidays.
The Exchange has early closings on some days after an official holiday and on some Federal holidays. Notably, Good Friday is observed by the Exchange and the Trading floor is closed. For Thanksgiving, the Exchange closes early on the Holiday and the day after.
