Playboy Hefner, 84, to Wed 24-Year-Old in June: "It's the Best"

Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris will wed, they told Piers Morgan Tonight, on June 18. What's a difference of 60 years when you're having fun?

The 84-year-old Playboy magazine mogul Mr. Hugh Hefner has announced the date of his wedding to one of his Playboy bunnies, Crystal Harris, 24. The two will wed on June 18, 2011 at the Playboy mansion and be keeping the number of guests down to around 300.

On Feb. 23 2011 Hefner and his betrothed appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN to talk about their relationship and decision to marry. Hefner, who has for years kept a number of young Playboy bunnies in his L.A. mansion, asked Harris to marry him Christmas Day. "It will be intimate with a close number of friends here at the mansion," US magazine quoted Hefner as saying. "No big blowout affair. Something very personal."

Crystal Harris: Can't Keep up With Hefner

Perhaps not surprisingly Hefner defended a marriage, suggesting the six decades difference – he was 60 when she was born – was not of import. "Age really is just a number," Mr. Hefner told Mr. Morgan. "You don't know how long you've got, how long's an average marriage last?"

For her part Harris said her husband-to-be is a fully energetic person and she is not going to be forced into a more sedate lifestyle by marrying this 84-year-old. "I love Hef, he's the nicest person I've ever met in my entire life. I have so much fun with him and it's hard for me to keep up with him.

"I mean, for my birthday I wanted to go bowling – and for his birthday he wanted to go to two different night clubs. So it's fun, we laugh. We have so much fun together. It's the best." Other fun things. They recently went to see Justin Bieber's 3D biopic Justin Bieber: Never Say Never at her request and she revealed she has "Bieber Fever."

Harris Wants Backyard Playboy Mansion Wedding

They shall marry in the backyard of the Playboy Mansion because one of Hefner's previous two marriages took place in the front yard and Harris, naturally, does not wish to duplicate that. "It's going to be fun," Harris told Morgan. "I mean he got married once in the front yard so I asked if we could do it in the backyard."

Hefner has two children from each of those two previous marriages and two of them are in their 40s. He will turn 85 two months before the wedding, on April 9, 2011. There are still other Playboy bunnies living in the Playboy mansion and, though traditionally Hefner has enjoyed intimacy will all his girlfriends living there, he and Harris are set to embark on a monogamous marriage.
