FOX TV's Bill O'Reilly was a guest on the ABC talk show The View on Thursday, October 14, 2010, along with co-hosts Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sheri Shepherd, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar. The live talk show got fiery and Behar and Goldberg stomped off the set in an immature display of dissent. when the subject of the proposed Mosque near the 9/11 site of the Twin Towers came up.

O'Reilly made a statement that the location of the controversial mosque was inappropriate and that there were already a hundred mosques in New York City that nobody bothers. Bill O'Reilly and co-host Joy Behar got into a fiery dispute. Behar, rarely a respecter of opinions other than her own, started waving her hands around, called him a pinhead and stomped off the set. Whoopi Goldberg followed suit and stomped off the set when O'Reilly made a statement that Muslims killed US on 9-11.
Barbara Walters Calls Colleagues' Behavior Unprofessional
Barbara Walters called her colleagues' actions unprofessional, saying “You have just seen what should not happen, we should be able to have discussions without washing our hands, and screaming and walking offstage. I love my colleagues but it should not have happened."
Behar and Goldberg Do World a Favor and Return to The View Set
Joy Behar walked back onto the set before the break and proclaimed that she was back because O'Reilly had apologized. She acted like she was doing the world a favor, but she really should not have bothered. The talk show diva sat next to Bill O'Reilly and sulked, looked testy and continued to argue with every statement that he made. One could only imagine that backstage conversations that forced the opinated commentator back on the set.
Behar Attacks Statement About Marilyn Monroe
O'Reilly called pop icon Marilyn Monroe a patriot, saying she brought joy to a lot of people. Behar, in a fighting mood, asked about Monroe's affair with the president, referring to Monroe's alleged affair with President Kennedy. O'Reilly said he was not privy to that. Behar exclaimed, 'Well, we were!" (Say what? Is she saying she was there?).
Bill O'Reilly may be controversial, but at least he conducted himself like an adult and a professional, which is more than can be said of Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg.
