Nestled between Panama City Beach and Destin, this Florida beach town has its own character and flair.

There are no big box or chain retailers in this Florida seaside community. Cute and quaint and locally owned, these shops offer something for everyone.

Bombora Sun and Surf Shop

More boutique than surf shop, this shop tries to find things that are outside of the normal wave (bombora is an Australian term that loosely means as such). The shop offers stylish beachwear, beach toys, sunglasses and flip flops.

Open daily from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Located at 78 Barrett Square, next to the Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental office.

Rosemary Beach Trading Company

In business since 2004, owner Linda Gifford features unique home items, souvenirs, gifts. This is also the only place in town to get Rosemary Beach logo wear t-shirts and hats. The store has a great selection of picture frames, decorative signs and candles all with a "beachy" feel.

This philanthropic owner also help kids discover the benefits of volunteering and raising money. She recruits kids to volunteer at a lemonade stand held in front of the store on Saturday afternoons during the summer. Patrons are asked to donate a dollar and the donations then go to the Alaqua Animal Refuge, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in nearby Freeport, Florida.

Labeled as a "fine apothecary boutique", this store has been in business for seventeen years with three of those years at Rosemary Beach. Owner Lynn Dugas designed the shop herself (she is also an architect). They specialize in hard to find bath and beauty products from all over the world. Visitors can make their own custom perfume at the Custom Scent Bar. Soaps come from a local soapmaker and it's one of the few stores that carries Bond Number Nine New York perfume.
