Host Sofie Allsopp helps home owners, whose property is not selling, with a complete makeover in order to get their homes sold in a competitive real estate market.

The show, The Unsellables, begins with Sofie Allsopp doing an initial walk-through with the home owners. As she conducts the tour, Sofie points out elements in the rooms that may be the probable cause of why the property is not selling.

Some of the more common problems are clutter, lack of cleanliness, misplacement of furniture and unattractive color scheme.

There are candid videos shown of prospective buyers touring the house and offering their comments, most of which agree with Sofie’s findings. Sofie also interviews the home owner’s real estate agent and asks why he/she thinks the house is not selling.

Co-host and contractor Anthony Sayers arrives on the scene and offers Sofie his opinion of her plan from a construction point of view. He may suggest material that would be perfect for the task or point out anything that may compromise the structure of the house.

The Unsellables proceeds with the numerous projects carried out by Sofie, Anthony, the homeowners and members of the crew. As the tasks progress, Sofie interviews the various people who are working in the house. For example, Anthony may show Sofie the special features of the cabinet he is constructing.

The show ends with scenes of the renovated rooms. Sofie takes the homeowners on a tour and points out how the improvements will make the house more sellable. The real estate agent goes on a tour and provides his/her feedback.

Then the same group of prospective buyers are asked to tour the house again and their comments are captured on video.

The audience is not told if the house gets sold but Sofie leaves the home owners with a beautiful house and new found hope of making a quick sale.

Enough already with the mountains of throw pillows on the Unsellables! The latest episode had 6 throw pillows on a love seat - what is one supposed to do with all these pillows? You just have to chuck them on the floor if you want to sit down. Also one sees 6-8 pillows on a bed - that's ludicrous!

And yes, Sophie is cute - just count how many times per episode she gets to wrinkle her nose!

I just watched Sophie destroy a beautiful craftsman style home by painting the gorgeous wood wainscoting and covering a wonderful brick fireplace with a cookie cutter facade and wanted to cry. Declutter, restage, repaint if you have to, but don't ruin the character of a beautifully designed house. She created a Ryan tract house. Way to go, Sophie!

Yeah she likes to use Particle board way too much. She also tilts her head to the side way too much, I know she's British and all but a little over the top. She could benefit from some upgrades "up stairs" if you catch my drift.

I am watching a segment of the unsellables and it looks like the host Sophie just took her blouse out of the plastic bag it came in and threw it on. It has wrinkles from being folded all over it. Pretty tacky for a T.V. show.
