The possible existence of aliens and UFO's has caused many debates over the years. Most people assume that because of the vast space of the universe, we may not be alone, but whether these extra terrestrial beings are really visiting Earth, and even taking humans aboard their space ships to examine them, is a different matter.
Missing Time
Believers often argue that Area 51 and the Bermuda Triangle are tangible proof that alien life is real. Another phenomenon that is linked to this is 'missing time'. People have claimed to experience this state where you do not realise you have missed a section of time, until you look at a clock and realise two hours have passed in what felt to you like two seconds. You simply have no recollection of the events that have occurred, not even an obvious blackout.
One of the most persistent accounts of this happening is an RAF 19-year-old pilot, Robert Matthews. Whilst on duty, he was dropped off at a bus stop and told to ring the base and wait until he was picked up. He followed these instructions and was told the truck would be down within 10 minutes. Whilst waiting, he noticed some very bright lights in the sky which made him feel a very strong inexplicable fear, so he decided to re-phone the base to inform them of this.
Their response astounded him. They asked where he had been as the truck had already been down to get him. He could not understand as he had not seen another person in the 5 minutes between calls that he had been waiting. It was then he was informed that the first phone call had been almost an hour ago.
Crop Circles
Another bizarre occurrence that is linked to UFO's is crop circles. There are over 10,000 documented cases, 80% of which have been proved to be hoaxes, created with planks of wood and rope. 20% however, are still a mystery.
A case in Edmonton, Canada is one of the more unusual cases. Two farmers found seven perfect circles within their field, and were stunned. The Canadian Crop Circle Research Network were contacted and got on to the site immediately and believe the pattern created and the appearance of the rest of the corn was much too complex to be a hoax.
Scientists examined the crops and soil and found many unusual entities which they believe prove it was caused by aliens and UFO's. Radiation and other unusual earth activity is often said to be found in these circles. Any web page or book written by a Crop Circle investigator cites this.
Sceptics
More logical scientists disagree that aliens or UFO's could have possibly visited Earth as they have never seen any hard evidence to support any sightings. This point is helped by the amount of photographs, videos, etc that are proved without a reasonable doubt to purely be a hoax and many of the alleged sightings are said to be secret testings of new military aircraft, which is why the size, shapes and lights may seem unusual.
These arguments and debates will of course continue until some evidence is found and then released for the public to see. Until then, you must come up with your own conclusion: alien life forms or clever tricks?
