Vegetables like carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato, red pepper, broccoli, spinach and citrus fruits like watermelon, apricots, squash, tomato, strawberries, oranges, peaches should be a part of a healthy diet. These foods are rich in vitamin A, beta-carotene and vitamin C which are extremely beneficial for curbing diabetes.
  • Traditional herbs like fenugreek seeds, cinnamon, curry leaves, mint leaves are great remedies for curing Type II diabetes. In India, ayurveda is commonly used for diabetes cure.
  • Raw curry leaves (12 to16 leaves), if taken on an empty stomach for a continuous period of two to three months have magical cure for hereditary diabetes.
  • Fenugreek seeds, are also beneficial. One table spoon of seeds need to be soaked overnight, then mashed in the morning and sieved in a fine piece of cotton cloth. The mixture needs to be taken daily on an empty stomach for a continuous period of two to three months to see quick results.
  • Having a juice of five to seven tomatoes on an empty stomach everyday for two to three months also manages to curb type II diabetes.
  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle with the right diet and exercise. One can easily go for brisk walking in the morning and evening, or yoga and meditation for curbing this ailment.
  • Monitor the blood glucose level every month

Having diagnosed with type II diabetes can be a challenging situation. A proper healthy lifestyle coupled with the right diet including green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, fiber, sufficient carbohydrates and protein can help to provide the right diabetes cure.
