Capricorns like Kate Middleton, are not the most romantic of sun signs, to put it mildly. This cardinal/earth/feminine sign is much more known for being successful businessmen and women. They always have a goal that they are reaching for, not that they necessarily divulge it to anyone, and they are not afraid of hard work. On the contrary, they are born for it. The receptive, or feminine, nature of this sign is always willing to take on new responsibilities regardless of how daunting they may be. A love of tradition and respecting the establishment are also trademarks of Capricorn. They give out due respect to their elders and superiors while expecting it in kind when they have obtained a high position.
Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn, is the greatest malefic, known for being melancholic, strict, hard-working, and denying pleasure in order to reach a goal. Saturn is also felt as a pressure, as those ruled under him always feel as if they must be doing something worthwhile. Saturn is also known as Father Time as he is personified by an old man. Capricorns are said to be born old- mature, serious and get younger – youthful oriented, with age. They take on responsibility right from the start and are willing to wait for results. Another image of the Capricorn is the goat climbing up a steep precipice, showing their determination, skill, and patience in earning their higher positions in life.
With all of this talk of seriousness and success, Capricorns are difficult to dislike. They are modest, unassuming, quiet people who never complain about their workload and never shirk their responsibilities. They are not gossipers or full of idle chit chat. You may find them wherever there is a chance to improve themselves and their status. At first, Kate Middleton was not taken too seriously by the press as a potential princess, however, over time, this Saturn ruled sultana triumphed over the critics. Everyone is in awe at this goat’s ability to not make a single misstep as she climbed into Prince William’s (and the royal family’s) heart!
Some may argue that a conservative Capricorn would never have modeled lingerie in public, as Kate did years ago for a charity show, where Prince William first noticed her. But, honestly, do you think she appears more ‘sexy’ in those picture or more ‘determined’? There is no way that a Capricorn would have donned the skimpy attire on stage, if a certain heir apparent weren’t in the audience. Her sun sign’s modesty did manage to cover up more than was intended as reported in Value of Kate Middleton's Fateful Sheer Dress is Skyrocketing | PopEater.com:
“Todd [the designer] said the piece was actually a skirt, but Middleton opted to wear it as a dress.”
The sheer dress/skirt is now a royal artifact worth about $15,000. Kate’s ‘Cappiness’ showed up again, later on, when she was introduced to Prince William for the first time. Reported in a People Magazine article Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Klutzy First Meeting:
"According to a new biography about the royal couple, the first time that Kate Middleton met Prince William, she curtsied slightly, causing the prince to spill a drink – all over himself."
This display of protocol by Kate in curtsying to Prince William reveals her true Capricorn traits. While some may have perceived it as too formal, old-fashioned, or “klutzy,” it is really all Capricorn. You may ridicule it to your heart’s content, but who is that sporting Princess Diana’s sapphire ring on her finger?
Congratulations to Princess Catherine, the triumphant Capricorn. If you ever get the chance to meet her in person, be sure to curtsy, she’ll like that.
