Walt Disney World Resort regularly offers discounts on its hotel rooms and vacation packages to encourage guests to stay on Disney property. What discounts are offered, when, and for how long varies throughout the year – greater and more varied discounts are generally promoted during Disney’s value season, while during its peak season Disney vacation deals are harder to come by.
2011 Disney Discounts for Walt Disney World hotel room-only discounts have been released for travel dates in winter - fall 2011. See the updates, with links, at the end of this subsection. Disney's 2010 offers remain listed here for the purposes of comparison.
Discounts on Walt Disney World Hotel Rooms for 2010 – 2011
Disney's 2010 Summertime Savings: For guests planning a late summer or early fall vacation, Walt Disney World offers up to 40% off select Disney Resort hotels on most nights between Aug. 15 and Oct. 2, 2010. Rooms may be booked now through Oct. 2, 2010.
Room Discounts vary by resort type:
- Value Resort: 30% off non-discounted rates
- Moderate Resort: 30% off
- Deluxe Resort: 40% off
- Deluxe Villa Resort: 40% off

Disney's 2010 Fall / 2011 Winter Savings: For guests planning 2010 fall or 2011 winter vacation, Walt Disney World offers up to 40% off select Disney Resort hotels on most night between Oct. 3 2010 – Feb. 16, 2011. These dates of arrival are eligible for the room discount: Oct. 3 – Nov. 23 and Nov. 27 – Dec. 25, 2010 and Jan. 1 – Feb. 16, 2010 Rooms may be booked now through Nov. 21, 2010.

- Value Resort: 20% off non-discounted rates
- Moderate Resort: 25% off
- Deluxe Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge: 25% off
- Deluxe Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: 30% off
- Deluxe Resort, All Others: 40% off
- Deluxe Villa Resort: 40% off

A Magic Your Way ticket package or a Magic Your Way Plus Dining vacation package may be added to these room discounts.
Update, Nov. 23: Walt Disney World Resort has released room-only hotel discounts for dates of stay between Jan. and April 2011. Walt Disney World Free Dining for Fall 2010 – Fall 2011 (through Sept. 29, 2011)
Guests booking a Walt Disney World Magic Your Way vacation with check-in on select dates between Oct. 1, 2010 and Sept. 29, 2011 can receive a FREE Disney Dining Plan for stays of three nights or longer at an official Disney Resort. Vacation packages must include at least a 2-day theme park ticket for each guest, ages 3 and up.
Guests who book a Magic Your Way package at a Value resort will receive the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan free, while guests who book at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villas resort will receive the regular Plus Dining Plan. Guests may upgrade their Disney Dining Plan to Plus or Deluxe by paying the price difference between their free plan and the dining plan they desire.

Walt Disney World 5-night / 5-day Vacation with Free Disney Gift Card (through Feb. 16, 2011)
Walt Disney World who book a Magic Your Way vacation package of five nights or longer will receive a FREE Disney Gift Card. Eligible Magic Your Way vacation packages must book a non-discounted hotel stay at a Walt Disney World resort and theme-park tickets.
The Free Disney Gift Card offer is good for arrivals on the following select dates: Oct. 3 – Nov. 23, 2010, Nov. 27 – Dec. 25, 2010, and Jan. 1 – Feb. 16, 2011.
This special offer provides one Disney Gift Card per room. The value of the Free Disney Gift Card depends on Disney Resort category:
- $200 Disney Gift Card for stays at a Disney Value Resort
- $300 Disney Gift Card for stays at a Disney Moderate Resort

Guests planning to book a vacation should note Disney’s general public special offers can sometimes be combined with travel packages booked through other agencies, such as AAA or Southwest Airlines.
