Where to Eat for Breakfast: The World Famous Oasis Restaurant
Before hitting the beach for the day, this world-renowned restaurant is a great place to stop in for breakfast. The World Famous Oasis, located off of A1A in St. Augustine Beach, stands out with its colorful turquoise and yellow building and fun atmosphere. Customers are greeted by friendly staff and welcomed into a room decorated in beachy blue and white, complete with televisions, and the week’s specials posted on the wall.
Breakfast options are simple, ranging from breakfast sandwiches and 3-egg omelets to pancakes and French toast. The World Famous Oasis serves large portions and plenty of coffee. For something lighter, the restaurant offers selections from their bakery, including jumbo muffins, biscuits, and plain and cinnamon raisin bagels.

A1A Aleworks is in downtown St. Augustine off of King Street. An upstairs view brings the action to guests as they watch traffic from the Bridge of Lions and the hustle and bustle of downtown go by from the bar inside. Sit outside on the terrace and get a great view of Mantazas Bay while having lunch.
A1A Ale Works is not only known for their specialty beer (Red Brick Ale is a restaurant favorite), but their creative dishes as well. Appetizers featured on the menu are lobster enchiladas, A1A Ale and Cheese Soup, calamari and hummus. Entrée samples include the Crab BLT on parmesan focaccia bread ($9.95), fish tacos in Cajun spices ($11.95), and Angel Hair Salsa Cruda ($11.50). One of the desserts offered is the Grilled Banana Split.

Where to Eat for Dinner: Panama Hattie’s
An upstairs table is highly recommended at the casual Panama Hattie’s. The view leads right to the Atlantic Ocean across the road. Panama Hattie’s has also been holding its own as an award-winner. Through 2009, the restaurant has been featured as Best Bar and won 2008’s “Best of the Beach.” 2010 shows continued success with the “All-Around People’s Choice” Award.
The Panama Hattie’s menu is extensive and delicious. Entrees include seafood, chicken wings, Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and ribs. The restaurant features all-you can-eat nights three times a week. Wednesday: Crablegs Thursday: Ribs Sunday: 2 for 1 appetizer from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (seasonally) Additionally, Panana Hattie’s hosts live music and dancing, trivia nights, and NFL Sunday on 30 televisions.
