White Collar Season 2, Episode 1

Following the explosive ending of the first season of this excellent crime drama, FBI Special Agent Peter Burke, played by Tim DeKay, finds himself defending his abilities and the value of his unusual colleague, Neal Caffrey, who is played by Matt Bomer.

Then, the main case of the first episode revolves around foiling a country-wide bank theft. The underlying case, which will likely become an ongoing mystery throughout the season, is Neal’s desire to solve who supposedly killed his lady-love, Kate, and who has obtained the music box. The episode also further explored and developed the evolution of both characters and their friendship.

Reviewing White Collar

This New York-based crime-drama is an excellent and enjoyable show, which offers a good mixture of both darker and lighter elements of television entertainment. The premise is intrinsically interesting, and the storylines are intriguing.

The show is visually appealing through a combination of superiorly skilled costume choices, set design, and filming technique. Through these same methods, the show also succeeds in the often difficult task of giving its audience important information. It is also well scripted, and the character and story development is strong.

The lead characters have also been perfectly cast, and their portrayers’ performances add to the charm of the series.

Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Tiffani Thiessen

Matt Bomer as con-man turned FBI consultant, Neal Caffrey, and Tim DeKay, as straight-arrow skilled FBI agent, Peter Burke, each play their role very well. The performances of Bomer and DeKay vastly contribute to the success of the strong series.

Both main characters are performed and scripted to be likeable, interesting, and sympathetic, and the characters achieve gaining and holding audience attention.

Tiffani Thieseen also gives a noteworthy performance as Elizabeth Burke, the supportive wife of Peter, and she successfully conveys her character as understanding, intelligent, endearing, and pleasantly plucky.

Sharif Atkins, as Special Agent Clinton Jones, who is usually known as “Jones,” and other supporting cast members also contribute to the strength of the cast.

Overall, the cast depicts a believable ensemble of entertaining and enthralling characters, and it is possible for viewers to become engaged by the stories and personalities of the diverse characters.
