Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Willie Garson, Tiffani Thiessen, and Hilarie Burton return in third season of the New York-based hit about the FBI.

On Tuesday June 7, 2011, the first episode of the third season of White Collar premiered on the USA Network.

On the same day as the scheduled evening premier, New Yorkers were treated to watching scenes from a later episode of the season being filmed in Downtown Manhattan, and the level to which audiences have taken the comedy-drama series to their hearts was apparent from the happy interest in the filming of the show.

It is unsurprising that viewers fast took to White Collar, and the series seems to be on track to continue to rise from strength to strength.

White Collar Season 3, Episode 1 “On Guard”

At the end of the second season, the increasing trust between the unlikely friends of straight-arrow FBI Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) and the charming former con-artist, Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), was put to the test by a recovered treasure trove of fortunes and masterpieces stock piled by the Nazis.

In the opening episode of the third season, Peter worries that Neal is planning to revert to his former criminal ways and abscond with the treasure, and it seems that Neal and Mozzie (Willie Garson) are planning to do as Peter suspects. However, Neal is as ever full of surprises.

Reviewing the Premiere of White Collar Season 3

Unlike many television series that start with a show of promise but fail to even begin to fulfill potential, White Collar began with more than promise, and it has even succeeded in exceeding its potential.

The cast is undoubtedly superb, and each of the actors deserves sizeable credit for the endearing draw of the series.

The overall general appearance of the series is equally inviting and alluring, and any inhibitor or lover of New York can easily delight in the beautiful capturing of the city.

Yet, although all the ingredients of the series merit praise, the direction and writing of the series seems to command increasing levels of note. It must be very difficult to consistently achieve coordinating each episode to be entertaining, able to be followed, somewhat suspenseful, and clever. It is particularly awe-inspiring to witness how well viewers are offered and reminded of information even from episode to episode.

White Collar not only successfully balances all of its diverse ingredients, it coalesces them as a brilliant and distinctive whole, and it achieves being both fun and clever.

It is one of the few series on television that is nothing less than pure bliss to watch and enjoy!
