It is no secret that there has been a continuous fight between two housewives on The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice. Although the two women are family, they are not holding back in their fight on national television. Melissa feels that Teresa is constantly starting fights while Teresa feels that Melissa is only with her brother to live a luxurious lifestyle.
At last night’s season 3 reunion, Teresa made a comment that she has made several times throughout the season. But viewers did not expect another housewife backing up her claim, at least indirectly.
Teresa claims that Melissa made the comment that she was smarter than her sisters, because she married Joe after she saw his house, insinuating that she was marrying him for financial stability. Teresa could even name the location and event where Melissa made the supposed comment.
However, another cast member of The Real Housewives of New Jersey made a comment that confirmed Melissa’s comment. Kathy Wakile made the comment that Melissa also talked about Joe’s sense of humor that night, along with other qualities that would make him a great husband. However, the fact that Kathy said “also” indirectly confirms Teresa’s claims that Melissa did make gold-digging comments about Teresa’s brother Joe.
So who is exactly right in this situation? Surely, Teresa is taking the situation a tad bit out of hand. Melissa could have meant the comment as a joke, simply sounding like a gold-digger as a funny joke. However, Melissa has always been bragging about the life that Joe offers her, which is constantly showcased on television.
It seems that Melissa doesn't really care too much about the accusations made against her. She is happy with her husband Joe and their three children. On the show, it seems that this couple is the one with the least troubles in their marriage. Where Jacqueline is dealing with a troubling daughter, Caroline wants her husband to stop working so much. Is Teresa simply jealous of her sister-in-law and her relationship with Joe, Teresa's brother?
Teresa ended the confrontation last night with the statement; a drunk mind speaks a sober heart. Does that statement also refer to her often-drunk husband, who wants to smash people’s heads in during events? Teresa should really think about what she says on air before opening her mouth, as her husband acts just the same.
