Zumanity brings together the thrilling stunts and acrobatics Cirque du Soleil has become world-famous for and combines them with the sexy themes that make the Las Vegas Strip a destination for travelers seeking a vacation with some edginess to it.
Circus Combined With Burlesque
Zumanity offers the chance for audiences to watch world-class circus performers who can do amazing things and combine it with a fun, sexy burlesque type atmosphere complete with a comedic element. It’s the only Cirque show that has spoken English. “There’s a way of sexuality where you don’t have to be obvious but you can be just as erotic,” explains Edie, The Mistress of Sensuality, who hosts and presides over the show. “The show exudes sexuality with a sense of confidence, but we don’t say do it this way, we create this thing together.”
A Varied Audience
The audience at a typical Zumanity show runs the gamut from groups out for a party to couples looking to explore a sensual evening together to people just looking to enjoy the comedy and visual effects of the evening.
“It’s amazing to see the extremes you find in the audience,” Edie says. “It’s very exciting to see people coming in for the first time. It’s fun because everyone is just sitting there with their own thoughts and reacting to the show in their own way.”
Show Times and Tickets
Zumanity plays at New York-New York Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. There are no performances on Mondays and Thursdays.
