Bioethics
Bioethics, a term coined last century in response to concerns over animal and plant testing, has expanded to cover all situations where ethical, philosophical and moral concerns arise in the fields of medicine, health and biotechnology.
A wide array of topics fall under this broad subject area, including organ transplants, defining the boundaries of life, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, DNA fingerprinting, artificial selection and genetically modified organisms. Suite’s bioethics articles will address both current and developing issues in this controversial field.
