Bird Watching

Bird Watching probably involves more people around the world than any other recreational activity. Found on every continent and every part of the globe from the frozen north to the frozen south of both hemispheres, birds are sought out as the fascinating and delightful creatures they are. People plant bird-attracting flowers and trees in their yard, hang feeders and otherwise do everything they can to draw birds to their home, while others take weekend 'bird walks' to spot them in their natural habitat. Professional guides are employed to help birders build their life lists, and citizen scientists are recruited to determine the health, distribution and count of bird populations worldwide. Related products, such as binoculars, spotting scopes and field guides have become major commercial resources.
