Crime Scene Processing

Welcome to Crime Scene Processing @ Suite101.

Crime scene processing is an integral part of forensics. Proper crime scene processing includes maintaining the integrity of a crime scene once it is determined a crime has been committed. Preserving the integrity also means preventing contamination of the evidence at the scene whether inadvertently or intentionally. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is working to define specific guidelines regulating how evidence is identified, collected, preserved and analyzed to prevent inconsistencies across the board. To learn more about crime scene processing read this article.
