I need any information I can get on Forensic Psychology, such as long I will be in school, and what do I need to do first in order to become a forensic psychologist.

» elisabeth46 - More questions!!

Hi,
I'm currently a student of psychology and will get my bachelor degree in the spring of 2004. I live in L.A and am looking for school in the adjacent area right now. I know CalState L.A. has a forensic program and I'm going to look into that. Have you heard anything about that school's reputation regarding the quality of the program??!! I'm looking into doing some internships and research and I'm wondering if you could give me further pinpoints of great areas regarding possible internships. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You. Elisabeth

» krj1220 - forensic psychology

Hi my name is Kim. I am 28 years old. I too am very interested in forensic psychology. I have been looking at different college's websites for information, along with sites like these. The response from others are pretty overwelming. The whole idea of going back to school is kinda scary too. I would like to talk to you more in detail on your findings and interests. The email I check more often is kjrj@nnex.net. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Tammymy, like you I'm 34 returning to school.
I'm working on my BA in criminal justice at St. LUnivnionlineine.
I like what was expressed earlier by the original poster. I too was advised to pursue a clinical Psychology Masters degree then move to a doctorate in Forensic Psychology.
Good luck in endeavors.

this link will take you to a gentleman who helped pioneer the Forensic Psychology section of Psychology.

Not sure how the school name got messed up.
but here it is again.

St. Leo University, it offers campus studies but also online courses it caters to the military but is open to all.

Hello I am a Junior in a Pre Medicine Magnet Program and i have always wanted to be a Forensic Scientist, but lately i've been getting fustrated b/c of the lack of resources. Are there any Florida Universities (Univ. Florida, FSU, Stetson, or UCf) who offer the majors in psychology & minors in criminology.
