» Anayat_Durrani - wa alaikum asalam

I understand your point of view. But as a Muslim, I am uncomfortable with anyone putting themselves in the position of judging others and calling them sinners when they do not personally know them. As Muslims, we believe that Allah is the judge of all things and knows best.

My article was merely a list of well known converts to Islam. I don't think it would be fair if I only listed converts who I personally believed were good Muslims and not "sinners". That was not the purpose of my article. Allah is the most merciful, most compassionate, most forgiving, and He is the only judge of those who are good and those who are bad. Every Muslim has this world to repent and come back to the straight and righteous path to Allah.

Anayat I agree with you, I find it to be very
sad when muslims began to feel that they are the
judge for Allah as if Allah cannot see our actions
and deeds. It reminds me of Moses travels in
search of knowledge- Holy Quran 18: 60-82
How Moses wanted to travel with the wise man and
being told by the wise man that he should not but
after much asking the wise man let him travel with
him. And how everything the wise man did, Moses had questions about what the wise man was doing, until the wise man had to depart ways from Moses because of Moses understanding he was not ready for the trip with wise man yet.

We are all traveling on the road to learning
what submission to the true will of Allah is and
none of us can put ourselves over another as to
say my 'Islam' is better than yours. For we all
who believe have a road that Allah has for us to
travel. And if I find that I can't understand your
road then I must travel the road that I'm on in
righteousness, because in the end Allah judges us
all. And by me trying to judge the road in which
you are traveling I fall short on my path as Moses
did. (please read the above in Quran)
In the Bible Jesus said:"Before you ask you brother to remove the speck from his eye, you must
first remove the stone from your eye so you may
see more clearly to tell your brother about the
speck in his eye.

My dear Babatunde,

Thank you. That really means a lot to me, especially coming from a good muslim like yourself, and from one of my most loyal posters. ;-)Your posts are always educational and enlightening. I feel very proud to know a Muslim brother like you and I encourage you to keep posting on this site. It wouldn't be the same without you -- and sister Thanaa's -- posts. You two were with me from almost the beginning of this site....and you make this site all the more valuable to visitors.

» eros74summer - Good materials

Thanks for the info.

I found this website when I searched for info regarding world religion and there is a link to your website. Out of curiousity I read as much as I could.

I grew up within muslim community and have a lot of muslim friends. I learned a lot about Islam. My parents are practising no religion but some of my family members are devoted muslims. I'm not religious but a science student who believes there has to be a superpower who created this universe and I strongly believe in cause and effect therefore this universe cannot start from nothingness. Nothing is created from nothingness...the logic of science but it was nothing...therefore it has to be a power to make that to begin. God as you call Him as or in your religion (with all respect and love) as Allah.

I have read your quran and I live by many principles of your faith even though I'm not a muslim. For example: "There is no compulsion in religion..." I believe it's so true that it's all about you and your "God". not anyone else to judge who you're and I hope I can learn more about this beautiful and interesting religion.

I learned and studied your religion from books, association (friends) and most importatntly your Quran and Hadith. I lost a Quran which that so dear to me when I moved around and my ex-housemate threw it away thinking it wasn't mine. I couldn't find that version where it has a very good and simplified translation. In that quran I had since I was 13, I had written a lot of notes in it for my own understanding. I'm searching for the answers but everytime I read your holy book, I come out calm and serene.

Your religion mentions a number of things that have some proof today scientifically. If i'm not mistaken, it states that we cannot eat food that touch fire so often...scientifically speaking, charcoal food (BBQ, roasted etc) prove to have carcinogens which can harm us. Many other info that cannot or couldn't be found anywhere else until the advance of science. This scientific knowledge I acquired has confirmed my belief that your religion is based on scientific values too. Your religion states that earth revolves around the sun and christians believe the other way round until science proved them wrong. I'm here not to attack any religions as I believe religions are great, it's some people who misinterprate the religious holy texts!

I also secretly believe that man cannot satisfy any woman, let alone four wives. I'm not muslim therefore I cannot represent your religion when some of people I know misinterprate your religion. I hate that....because I know you're not wrong!

People become ignorants because they don't know or refuse to know. Your religion also says that we cannot argue with people who has no knowledge or lack of knowledge. I read a lot about muslim folk stories and they are my fave childhood bedtime reading. No one in my family read that to me but I read and find them in a local library. I love every moment I spend reading about Islam.

I send my prayers (I don't know how to say it properly but God is understanding and he will understand anyone's prayer anyway) to all freedom fighters especially in Palestine. I would die for someone I love and I don't call it suicide but a sacrifice! It's holy to some and stupidity to others...again you know what I'm talking about. It's all about between you and your God.

Thank you and peace be upon everyone.

In response to message posted by eros74summer:

You seem to be a very intelligent person and
you will be blessed with more wisdom.
You mention about having more than one wife and
not being able to satisfy them. Well all people
are different and all satisfaction is not from
sex. Men and women come together for many reasons,
and even though sex play a very important part in
many relationships but it is not the only reason
they come together.
You also mentioned you could not believe the
universe came from nothing, well it did not come
from nothing because it was within Allah, thats
why the Quran says "He just says, BE and it is, for everything comes from Him. For that is the power of being the 'Supreme Being' He has the true
ability to create from nothing, for whatever we
bring into existance it was already here we just
give it another form.
I once asked a person "Where did Allah (God) come
from and they were scared to answer that question,
but I believe we should be able to ask any
question that comes into our mind, for that is what Allah is 'All knowledge that exist'. Where
Allah comes from is, He always was and to go deeper than that, He created Himself because He
is the the only creator. Creator-is one who can
create or bring into being something from nothing
or having no pattern to go by. He say BE and it is. And thats what makes Him 'The God of all things that exist'. And anything that comes in the
future that is not here now will come from Him.
