» RevNancyLeigh - July or September

Did you know that Nostradamus predicts a war or major change this year? By the translation, they are looking at July or September.

Just a little case in point, there is a major astrological phenomenon beginning in July...do you think he saw this astrologically, or do you think he just had a vision?

I am not a dooms-dayer, and do not try to predict wars or things llike that...but it IS an amazing coincidence, do you think?

» FlorenceC - I Agree.

I agree with you, Nancy. What amazes me even more is how many of the prophecies, including Nostradamus, Cayce, Mother Shipton, and even some of the obscure sources all agree. And then, of course, we have Revelations. I did read an article the other day, however, about the way we have changed the calendar over the years. It suggested that 2000 may not be 2000 at all. 2000 might actually fall in 2005 or even in some more remote part of the future. Escapism? Possibly. I'm thinking about doing further research into this and maybe writng an articl if I can come up with enough infomration.

» bluemuse - Nostradamus' meteor prediction for 1999

In fact, didn't I read somewhere on your site that Nostradamus predicted a meteor would be hiding in the tail of a comet that will be heading in our direction around Sept 1999, meaning either September, or the 7th month - thus July, as Nancy mentioned? Interesting.

But I also like your point about how the calendar may have changed, so that 1999 may not even be the year a meteor would hit the earth. I'm certainly going to be optimistic on that one!

» RevNancyLeigh - The Calendar

That is quite interesting, because I just read an aritcle online the other day that talked about the calendar changes and astrology. The focus was on when Aquarius would cross the eqinox and make it an offical Aquarian age, but the focus was the same, that we cannot "accept" dates as static because we know how the calendar has changed, and the problem that it is not quite accurate in the first place. However, imagine this...if it was THAT far off, the seasons would be off. Now, this could be possible by a week or so, but we would see this if the solsices had changed dates radically in the last, say, hundred years.

More importantly, lets look at the fact that many of these prophesies have come to be. Why would he not have "seen" the calendar as well? If he is seeing it as 1999, why wouldn't it be OUR 1999? He himself may not have understood that there was to be changes in the calendar, but just that it would be that particular year...well, I am not going to worry about it. I am not a doomsday type of person, actually I only find the astrological correlation interesting because that's my thing...he he he...if we got all wrapped up in the future, we would no longer be living for today, but stressed over tomorrow. Not worth it. Though I find prophesy intriguing because I haven't figured out how it could be possible, I just kind of keep it in my mind, but not to worry. I love looking at things that are just so unexplainable, but that make so darn much sense! Gotta love synchronicity!

Blessings,

» Dubh_Sidhe - ~v checking in here on the calendar...

and I find this absolutely facinating! I wonder if this means I am really, oh, five years older than I am, or five years younger? Counting the first nine months, I think probably I am older still than my calendar, or my body, says that I am! Researching the Celtic Calendar for March posts, I came across various other calendars--enough of them to realize that this is NOT 1999! Of course, the time zones, date lines and daylight savings time do nothing to help any of us. However, on the other hand--and let me play the Devil's advocate here--if this is not 1999, what does that do to the problem of Y2K? If we were in, say, 2003 or 2005 shouldn't the world have already experienced these anticipated computer shutdown problems that are forcast to come on January the first, 2000? Oh, well, does my reasoning make me a monkey, a goat, a rabbit (?) or a...

» StCatherine - 2005

I hope its not 2005. I watched a movie a couple of years ago about the Aztec (or was it Mayan?) culture, religion, PROPHECY and their CALENDAR. A number of their prophecies have come true and according to their calendar, this "creation cycle" will end in December, 2005.

» FlorenceC - The Millenium Bookof Prophecy

The Millenium Book of Prophecy has a lot of information on what the various cultures have to say about the Millennium. The dates do vary. According to this book, the Mayan clendar "runs out" in 2012. I'll be writing a book report on this fascinating book by John Hogue in March.

» not_him_again - Just something to speculate on

1. The verse in question specifies the year 1999, sevenenth month (i.e. July)

2. The verse also says "Before and after, Mars to reign by good luck." That sounds like a war.

3. The great king of terror that will come from the sky will bring back to life the King of the Mongols. (quotes from the book "Nostradamus and His Prophecies" by Edgar Leoni, published by Bell Publishing, NY, 1982).

4. Someone may want to correct me here- but I THINK that part of Mongolia belongs, or used to belong to Russia. I'm pretty sure that prior to WW2, at least some of it did.

5. It is April 1; the bombing campaign against Yugoslavia is apparently not gaining much success. some military experts are admitting that ground troops will be needed to accomplish the stated objectives.

6. I cannot say with certainty, but I think given the logistics of the situation as I see them, we could have a powerful force on the gound within 3 months. Guess what month that is?

7. The Russian Navy is reported to be putting to sea, and that means they might be reconsidering their refusal of military aid to Serbia. Indeed, there are sources who say they have been aiding them all along. Now what happens if they decide to send ground troops there?

8. A war may fully wreck Russia; but it also might unite the people, and indeed "bring back to life the King of the Mongols"

9. I think if this does happen, it is likely to be this summer. Say about July?

10. I know, I know,... it's just speculation. But it does make one wonder...

» FlorenceC - More speculation

Reason indeed for speculation. I've been watching with a great deal of interest and more than a little apprehension as the conlicts mount. Another reason for speculation is the mention in several prophecies of the meteor that is supposed to strike the earth sometime this summer. (July?) Somehow, that seems to dim the threat from hostilities and war. We may all go the way of the dinosaurs.
