» biogardener - "Here, here!" or "Hear ye, hear ye!"
"Hear ye, hear ye!" is what the town crier calls out when he is going to make an announcement."Here, here!" is what you call a pet when you are going to feed him. So that is all right to use if you have a birthday cake in hand.

- Happy Birthday!
Marge,
Hope you have a wonderful day! Getting older has its advantages like senior discounts here in the U.S. Every penny saved is one that can be spent on more plants!

» Marge_Talt - Birthday 2004
Wow everyone! I just got back in town; been gone since last week - to find all these lovely birthday wishes - thank you one and all! It seems like it was just yesterday that it was BD time 2003 - the more "mature" I get, the faster time goes. Seems like I've been running so fast this year, I'm meeting myself coming and going. Hoping for a break next week so I can sneak out of the office and play in my garden on my birthday - keep your fingers crossed!Mary, what a lovely little fairy...I'm sure she'll bring me good luck...thank you!
