Teaching Writing: Children II

By Irene Taylor

Lesson 1: Review of Writing Basics and Teaching Expository Writing

Bibliography

For this section, I am not going to refer you to any specific sections of any of the resource books. At this point, I would ask that you just read and get inspired, using any of the resource books that you have chosen. The books by Nancie Atwell, Regie Routman and Donald Graves will provide lots of inspiration for ways to improve the teaching of writing in your classroom.

If you have chosen one of the other idea books, look through it and see what ideas it suggests for teaching expistory writing.

In addition, you might want to take a look at the following sites.
