Hensperger, Beth. “The Best Quick Breads.” Boston: The Harvard Common Press, 2000. Pages 86-88 are an introduction to coffeecakes and the myriad uses for them. Check out the recipes on pages 89-110.

For tons of coffeecake recipes, including a whole bunch with fruit, check out this site. A lot of these come from bed and breakfasts, so you know they’ve been tried a lot and people like them. Another great site is Cooks Recipes, which has some other interesting choices.

For more information on eating seasonally and which produce may be locally available at different times of year, check out this site at Nutritiously Gourmet. This has information on sustainable agriculture, organic foods and a chart showing which foods are at their peak at which times of year.
