Lesson 4: Who is Jesus?

Jesus Will Come Again

Jesus Will Come Again

Finally, these Pharisees convinced higher authorities to crucify Jesus. Crucify means "kill." Jesus died a horrible death. He was hung on a cross and left to die. Many people were sad because of this.

But, a wonderful thing happened. Before his death, Jesus told his disciples that after he died, he would rise from the dead in three days. This is exactly what happened! Jesus overcame death. And, because Jesus has risen from the dead, we, too, can live forever with God. Jesus took all of our sins to the cross with him. Now, when we sin, we can ask God for forgiveness, in Jesus' name, and our sin will be washed away. In fact, God says that once we confess our sins, he forgets about them. That is good news!

The best news of all is that Jesus promised he would come back to earth. This time when Jesus returns, he will take all of God's children back to heaven with him. You must believe that Jesus is the Savior and the Son of God. That is what being a Christian is all about.

If you want to make Jesus the Lord of your life, say this simple prayer:

Dear Lord, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
I believe that Jesus is my Savior.
I am sorry for the sins that I have done.
I ask you to please forgive me for my sins.
Dear Lord, I love you.
I want Jesus to come into my heart and stay.
I pray this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
