Professional Expertise and Experience
Professionally he specialises in large scale business change, IT , project management and related matters. Typically programmes are complex with budgets of up to £400million ($620million) He has worked internationally, for large corporates and for the UK government leading very large scale and complex programs; often with elements of turnaround and challenging stakeholder management . He operates through his own consultancy Solidus Ltd based in Nottingham, England.
Writer and Photographer
As a long-time writer Martin writes on an eclectic mix of subjects which have included yachting, photography, personal finance, cars, travel, computing as well as small and professional business management. His writing reflects Martin's wide-ranging experience and insatiable thirst for knowledge.
Here on Suite101 Martin is indulging his interest in books and learning through his work on reviewing and commenting on Reference and other books. He also is using other long held interests to write on Photography, Travel and Sports and Classic Cars.
He has written three books:
- Creating and Developing a Consultancy Practice.

- The Information Edge;
Martin has also been a full time sports photographer but now concentrates on stock photography for various libraries, including his own: M-dash, for whom he provides travel and conceptual imagery.
