Mongolia Travel
An autonomous region of China, Inner Mongolia has much to offer from mountains and the wild Gobi desert to rolling grasslands dotted with traditional nomadic tents. Memories of Genghis Khan abound and tales of rich caravans making their way along the old trading routes, laden with spices and silk.
With its museum and Tibetan and Mongolian temples, the capital Hohhot is a good place to start a visit but true adventurers will soon head into the wilderness in search of vast landscapes sprinkled with lakes and rivers, hot springs, dramatic rocks and giant dunes.
